Our village : Gündoğan
FARILYA is one of the numerous sites from the Karya
civilization’s heritage. This name, as well as its
Turkish name “GÜNDOGAN”, means “SUNRISE” in ancient
Greek.
Our quiet seaside village has always lived on fishing
and sponge fishing and on citrus crop.
The scent of orange trees welcoming visitors along the
seaside still remains.
Nowadays tourism is supporting the agricultural and
fishing activities by offering new market opportunities.
Most of the food served in restaurants is supplied with
local fishing of the day and fresh vegetables and fruits.

GÜNDOGAN is a village of 4000 inhabitants. Its
free sandy beach is more than 2 km long. Everything for
your convenience is provided: a weekly colored market, a
post office, a medical center, shops, Internet cafés,
hotels and leisure centers. Restaurants open all the
year round, will always welcome you at competitive
prices so that the paycheck could be equivalent to a
home meal!
Now if you whish to be active during your staying here,
you will have many options: archeological trips in the
area, windsurfing, under water photography, diving
lessons, horse riding, walking, trekking…

As it is said at GÜNGOGAN: “ Nothing less than
History, sun, seaside, nature and friendly relationships
with people can be found here”
